Plainclothes Security – Off Duty Officers – ODO
Off Duty Officers are Retired/Active Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) they have a minimum of five (5) years of active exspearance and were retired or left service honorably. ODO’s have a multitude of experiences from communications skills, undercover operations to emergency response. Most of our Officers have over twenty-eight (28) years of exspearance. Most have experience in responding to active shooters and know how to resolve this type of event. ODO’s are a corner stone to the new security model as active shooters engage uniformed personnel. ODO’s blend-in to any particular environment to protect the client it’s employees and the public. ODO’s are first responders increasing response time to seconds compared to local law enforcement which generally respond within three to five (3-5) minutes of an event.
Security Officer – Uniformed Armed
Security Officers maintain a high-visibility presence to deter illegal and inappropriate actions, looking (either directly, through patrols, or indirectly, by monitoring alarm systems or video surveillance cameras) for signs of crime or other hazards (such as a fire), taking action to minimize damage (such as warning and escorting trespassers off property), and reporting any incidents to their clients and emergency services (such as the police or paramedics), as appropriate.
Security officers are generally uniformed to represent their lawful authority to protect private property. Security guards are generally governed by legal regulations, which set out the requirements for eligibility (e.g., a criminal record check) and the permitted authorities of a security guard in a given jurisdiction. The authorities permitted to security guards vary by country and subnational jurisdiction. Security officers are hired by a range of organizations, including businesses, government departments and agencies and not-for-profit organizations (e.g., churches and charitable organizations).
